DAY 8

Morning blood sugar = 89!  Not bad, class!!

Friends are suggesting menus, recipes, and such.  My program is:  IF IT WASN'T ALIVE, OR DIDN'T GROW IN THE GROUND, I WON'T EAT IT.  So that cuts out anything processed (especially with nitrates), nothing white except ACTIVIA LITE.  Some will say "It's boring".  Not if you're facing dialysis, my friend.

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR HEALTH.  NO FOOD IS WORTH DYING FOR.

BREAKFAST - you'll see some variety here
2 oz tuna in water = 20 cal
1 slice Boar's Head Lo sodium ham = 60 cal
1 Tbs Hellman's Lite = 35
1/2 slice provolone cheese = 50.
That's total (so far) of 165.

LUNCH
4 oz light tuna = 120 cal
2 Tbs light Mayo  = 70
1 Tbs Relish = 20
Total = 210

DINNER
3 oz Chuck steak = 136 cal
Brussels sprouts = 60 cal
2 Tbls peanut butter = 190
Total = 386 (still not really enough calories)
Total for the day = 831

(will have bedtime snack = 200 cals.)

Yeah, I don't see how you avoid feeling weak with no more calories.I mean people flat on their back would get more than that. Will you increase to a certain amount? 1400 eventually?
I gave up soft drinks and sweet tea a couple of years ago which was so damn hard for me but I didn't lose any weight. Calories are calories.
Keep up the good work Richard.

You, sir, are an inspiration. I heartily agree that nothing is more important than your health. And I find that fresh food, no processed stuff, really makes a difference. Congratulations!
