Dot dot dot dot dot...........
French painter Georges Seurat was born on this date in 1859 and, basically created a new technique of painting. There are others who can explain it much better than I. His method was a series of dots, Seurat conjectured that was how the eye received images. Quite brilliant, if you ask me. At least certainly original!

Seurat died March 29, 1891.

Last sunday's "CBS Sunday Morning" had a piece on a man who does portraits out of push-pins--same idea, and quite remarkable, really.
