A 1952 Studebaker Commando
Nothing says the 1950's more than a Studebaker!! (Except maybe a Henry J. or the Nash Metropolitan- don't ask!)
However, in 1954, Studebaker was on the skids. On this date workers at the Studebaker auto plant in South Bend, IN, agreed to take pay cuts of $12 to $20 weekly in an attempt to help the faltering automaker. It didn't help. Studebaker was soon out of business because of the increased competition from Ford, Chrysler and General Motors.

Damn. I can't imagine why nobody wanted one of those.
