RICHARD'S OYSTER RECIPE

It's Thanksgiving Time and everybody is once again asking for my oyster recipe.  I don't blame you, it's heaven and here it is:
INGREDIENTS: ITALIAN BAKED OYSTERS
1 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 Onion, chopped
1/2 c. Butter
4 gloves garlic, minced
1/2 t. Thyme
2 T. Parsley
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
48 oysters
1 c. grated Parmesean Cheese

To your bread crumbs, add basil, oregano and rosemary if you don't have seasoned kind.

Grease a 3 qt. casserole.  Preheat oven to 375.
In a heavy skillet, over medium heat, melt butter.  Add onion, garlic, herbs, peppers and salt.  Sauté until onions are wilted and transparent.  Add oysters and their liquor stirring gently to blend.  Simmer over medium heat JUST until oysters begin to curl at edges.  Stir in bread crumbs, spoon mixture into greased casserole dish.  Sprinkle top of casserole with grated cheese.  Bake in oven until bubbly and lightly browned - approx 15 mins.Serve hot and receive love.  It's delish.
