AMELIA EARHART, WHERE ARE YOU?

(Click on newspaper to see a larger image.)

It was on this date in 1937 that famed avaitrix Amelia Earhart disappeared in the South Pacific on her round-the-world flight HERE. No one knows, to this day, what actually happened to her.

Author Gore Vidal, who knew her as a child, recently claimed that Amelia committed suicide in her plane on the flight. Why? Gore claimed she had terrible effects from early menopause and was also in a miserable marriage. And she wanted out of everything.

I don't understand suicide. Do you? To me, victims of suicide always think there's a better life somewhere else. I don't know!

Amelia was probably our first internationally famous American woman.
