I loved Gail Storm on by black and white TV in the 50's when her first show was a summer replacement for "I Love Lucy". She was so perky you could puke, but I liked her anyway. And she hired the divine Zasu Pitts as her sidekick in her second series "Oh Susanna!".
I always thought her name was funny. I mean combining two weather terms! Maybe she could have also been Summer Rain? Winter Squash?
