HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WILLIAM HOLDEN!!

Born on this date in 1918,William Holden was an Academy Award-winning actor: Stalag 17, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Born Yesterday, The Bridges at Toko-Ri, Network, Picnic, Sunset Boulevard, The Towering Inferno, The World of Suzie Wong; he died Nov 16, 1981

This clip from Picnic is probably one of the sexiest moments ever filmed for any movie.

absolutely. Even as he aged, he was trés sexy. And that's a classic scene (and film for that matter). Love those old movies (sigh)!

Bill H. is one of my all-time favorites and I loved seeing this clip again. Everything he did from "Golden Boy" to "Network" was top drawer. And the previous writer is absolutely correct in saying that even as he aged, and his face got craggy and he drank way too much, he was still oh so sexy. He and Gregory Peck were my first Hollywood "crushes"!
