My precious Beatrice Arthur has died at age 86 in her Hollywood home. I loved her so much after discovering her in "Mame" on Broadway with Angela Lansbury. I'll never forget her in the opening number of the show "It's Today". Bea stood at the proscenium with a martini glass upturned in her hand during the entire number, never moving while 40 others (including Angela) bounded around the stage doing this huge raucous number.
And I loved her in "Shoestring Revue" when she sang "Garbage".
And I cut my teeth on "Maude" and then matured with her in "Golden Girls".
God, I loved Bea Arthur. And I will miss knowing she's not there for me to see new things.
Here's her Obit CLICK
And enjoy "The Man In The Moon" from "Mame"

I'd never heard or seen this Richard. Thanks for sharing. I've got to see Mame now.
