I produced a Christmas program at The Forest at Duke yesterday for the residents. It is Durham's premier retirement community. A wonderful place indeed!
We had a full crowd and we all had lots of fun and great music.
That's Tessa Johnson sitting on the piano singing "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas" and that's Dame Olive McKrell singing from "Messiah" (not sure why she is holding a guitar for that song!) and that's yours truly at the piano. For some reason it looks like that plant behind me is growing out of my head!!
Also the group "Reprise" gave us some wonderful a capella Christmas songs, led by Fred Rice.

It looks charming, Richard.
Do they even realize what a legend they're working with? :-)
Well, honey. When the three girls sang "Matchmaker" from FIDDLER
I had them put on scarves as babushkas, and I wore one, too. I think
everyone "knew" at that point! Love you,
Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas, Bom Hannukah, Swingin' Kwanza, Whatever!!
Mother Richard
