I first heard Barbara Cook live at the old Brothers and Sisters on W. 46th St. in New York in the summer of 1974. That was my first epiphany with her. Then when it was announced she would appear in Carnegie Hall in January, Larry and I bought tickets immediately. What a night! We were on the fourth row right in front of her.

It was a magical and unforgettable night. Our seats were 4th row center in the orchestra and we yelled and applauded like mad at the end of each number.
Thanks for the memory, Richard.

Richard I swear I can hear you screaming at the end.lol It's funny I never realize that many performers have had a career before my encounter with them. For example, Shirley Jones on Partridge family, Agnes Moorehead on Bewitched, and Shirley Booth on Hazel so I didn't realize this about BC. I've seen her sing maybe on the Rosie show? She was an older woman and I confused her with Rosemary Clooney when I saw her perform whenever it was????Thanks for the heads up Richard. I might want to get this album.
