HIS MASTER'S VOICE - ANNIVERSARY

1900 - One of the most famous trademarks in the world, ‘His Master’s Voice’, was registered with the U.S. Patent Office. The logo of the Victor Talking Machine Company, and later, RCA Victor, shows the dog, Nipper, looking into the horn of a gramophone machine.

We've all seen the picture of the dog, right? But do you know what really is going on in that picture? Here's the story: The dog is sitting on his master's coffin and the gramophone is playing a recording of 'his master's voice'. And that's why the dog's head is cocked to one side in disbelief. Useless trivia, I know, but informative anyway.
