Vivian Vance was born on this date in 1909. She appeared in many Broadway shows before going to Hollywood and and starring in all those wonderful shows with Lucille Ball. Who can forget Ethel Mertz??

My favorite episode of "I Love Lucy"?? Why, "The Pleasant Peasant" of course and Viv singing "Lily of the Valley". Can't be it for just plain wonderful.

Rest in peace, old girl. Viv died in 1979.
